LOLLDAIGA HILLS

Lolldaiga Hills Ranch is a 200 kilometer squared livestock ranch and wildlife conservancy. Located 20 kiometers northwest of Mount Kenya at an altitude of 1,700 – 2,300 meters, the Ranch has outstanding views of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares.

The Lolldaiga Range is an ancient land form, comprising of a series of magnificent high folding hills, cedar forests, open grassland and wooded valleys. A well documented series of archaeological finds, cave paintings and burial mounds show that the Lolldaiga Hills have been a treasured home since early mankind.

THE SAFARI SERIES

The Safari Series is a small, owner-managed tented camp found in the Lolldaiga Hills, a private conservancy in Northern Kenya. Overlooking the slopes of snow-capped Mt. Kenya, our small, beautiful tented safari camp is situated deep in the bush, overlooking an often-frequented watering hole, and provides the perfect destination for your safari in Kenya.

During your stay you can walk, drive, climb and camp in lush woodland or dry savanna in search of lions, leopards and elephants. Leaving  the wildlife behind you might wish to spend time learning from the Maasai elders about their lessons on leadership, courage and tradition.

When the day is done, venture back to camp in one of our safari-converted Land Rovers for a night of good food all under a canvas roof.

MAASAI MARA

The Maasai Mara is one of Kenya’s most acclaimed wildlife reserves, renowned for its open savannahs, wildebeest migration, prides of lion and vast herds of plains game.

Game viewing in the Mara is unrivalled. Your day can be as active or relaxing as you please. Game drives - day and night, bush walks, cultural visits, and picnic lunches are just some of the activities.

No where in the world is there a movement of animals as immense or impressive as the wildebeest migration. Over two million animals migrate from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya between July and October.

The Mara is home to one of the world’s highest densities of lion, with 15 lions per 100 kilometers squared– and some impressive black manned male specimens!

OFF BEAT CAMP

Offbeat Mara is a small, traditional safari camp, situated within the 74,000 acre Mara North Conservancy (MNC). The area is full of wildlife yet far from any other camp or lodge.

The camp has fantastic guiding, a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.

The camp have five tents that are set up as either doubles or twins, with a large double bed and a large single bed in the tent. All tents have flush loos, safari showers and jugs of water for the basins. The tents have a large verandah, with a table for private dining and chairs to relax on.
