End of your safari
16th -19th August : LAIKIPIA
The vast plateau of Laikipia rolls from the foothills of Mount Kenya to the arid deserts of what used to be known as the Northern Frontier District. Situated in the arid north of the country, the region offers a real and pristine wilderness experience. More endangered species can be seen here than anywhere else in East Africa.
SEGERA LODGE
Segera's five garden villas are set in landscaped botanical gardens centred around a vast swimming pool and surrounded by a cactus wall. This cactus boma creates a safe haven so you can stroll around freely night and day. One villa is an adjoining family villa and the other four are spacious one-bedroomed spaces with sleep-out beds beneath them and day beds for sunning in the garden.
Each thatched villa sits high on stilts peering out across the savannahs and woodlands to the waterholes and salt licks that magnetise wildlife. With outdoor baths, ensuite bathrooms and private decks, the elegant interiors are inspired by the bleached grass palette and earthy tones of the land.
