TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Oliver's camp is located in the Tarangire National Park, close to the Silale swamps. It is teeming with elephants, big herds of buffalo, plenty of big cats and home to the highest number of breeding pairs of birds in the green season.
This area is great for walking, day and night drives.
OLIVER'S CAMP
Set in the remote southern reaches of Tarangire National Park and within easy reach of the wildlife-rich Silale Swamps, Oliver’s is an echo of the early days of east African safaris. In 2021 Oliver’s and Little Oliver’s merged to form a single camp consisting of two wings joined by a raised walkway. With five rooms on the one side and 10 rooms on the other, each wing has its own lounge and dining area, with access to the shared pool and deck located between the two wings. Enjoy game drives, walking safaris, and night drives to explore this wild area.
NGORONGORO CRATER
The Ngorongoro Crater is thought to have formed about 2.5 million years ago when an active volcano’s cone collapsed inward after a massive eruption. It is the largest caldera in the world and has become a natural sanctuary for some of the densest populations of large mammals in Africa. Due to its enclosed nature, the Ngorongoro Crater has effectively formed its own ecosystem.
You are guaranteed to see big concentrations of animals on a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater also delivers some of the most reliable sightings of the Big 5 (elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopard) in East Africa.
THE HIGHLANDS CAMP
The Highlands redefines the traditional Ngorongoro experience. Set high on the slopes of the Olmoti volcano and far from any other camp, The Highlands offers views all the way to the Serengeti and easy access to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This warm and stylish high-altitude camp, deliberately positioned deep in the highland wilderness for maximum privacy, offers a richness of adventure and range of activities not possible elsewhere in Ngorongoro.
