Safari in Tanzania

Itinerary

Day 1: Grumeti

Your helicopter and pilot will meet you at JRO or your lodge and fly north over the Serengeti as you spot vast numbers of wildlife from the helicopter. Our first stop is Grumeti, a wildlife conservancy.

Spend time on game drives, walking in the bush and horse riding.

Singita Sasakwa, 3 nights.

Day 4: Northern Rift

The next stop is the northern rift, where the most spectacular scenic flying is in Tanzania. Fly to Lake Natron and Ol Doniyo Lengai, the Ngorongoro crater and Empakai.

From the lodge head out on an early morning game drive in to the Ngorongoro crater, where you can enjoy lunch in the Crater.

& Beyond Crater Lodge, 2 nights.

Day 6: Lake Manyara and Eyasi

Chem Chem Lodge is based between Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Spend the next few days out on safari exploring this beautiful area.

The helicopter will take you to Lake Manyara and Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadza tribe.

Chem Chem, 3 nights.

Day 9: Ruaha National Park

Fly west to the most untouched game park in Tanzania famous for its vast number of lions. The Ruaha National Park is full of wonderful landscapes. We will take an evening trip to explore the Udzungwa Mountains and spend a day at Lake Ruaha.

Jibali Ridge, 2 nights.

Day 11: Nyerere National Park

Fly to the Nyerere Nationla Park via the Udzungwa Mountains, a stunning mountain range.

Take a fishing boat down the river to catch fish and enojoy the scenery.

Beho Beho, 3 nights.

GRUMETI


Situated adjacent to the Serengeti National Park, it is an integral part of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.  It provides 350,000 acres of exceptional landscape for wildlife - and the ultimate safari experience.

The Grumeti river has one of the major river crossings for the Serengeti Great Migration. Between May and August, thousands of wildebeest cross this crocodile infested river.
